19:00, SEA campus; sunny, low pressure situation

More vision then viability.

Started with Cramer, Jim and 4 secretaries? Leased typewriters and later a xerox.

Cramer was frugal and chewed on his wrist.

Jim was 45 and ready for an academic career in Chinese History when he joined SEA. The dis/assembly of a car a way to teach physics helped him realize that such a teaching resonated with him. A friend sent a classified annotated, "This is you."

Then integrity of the SEA community's efforts to educate are the key to success in the 21st century. The early struggles to blend science and sailing together and call the mix education must continue, with an emphasis on honing the teachers' skills and rewarding them for their efforts.

Never forget the unspoken lesson taught through the SEA experience: going to sea changes people forever.

Suggested a new vessel name: the Rafe Parker.
