Ocean 546: Physics of Ocean Circulation (5)
Dr. William Wilcock, TTh 8:30-10:00, MSB 169.
Physical processes responsible for the formation and evolution of the oceanic lithosphere. Rheology, fault mechanics, plate flexure, marine gravity, the relationship between gravity and topography, magnetic properties of ocean crust, and character of marine magnetic anomalies.

Dr. Pete Jumars,M-F 10:30-11:20, OTB 205.
Principles and practice of biological oceanography for students with strong background in physical sciences but little recent exposure to biology. Ecological principles at individual, population, and community levels; overview of discipline of biological oceanography; case studies of interdisciplinary problems shared with the physical sciences.

GFD Lab: Ocean 569A (1)
Dr. Peter Rhines, TTh 1-4, OTB 206.
Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory experience in using real fluids to understand complex flows encountered in nature and numerical models.

MG&G Sem: Marine Geology and Geophysics Brownbag Seminar: Ocean 549A (1)
Dr. Debbie Kelley, M 12:20-1:20, Marine Sciences Building 123

Ocean Sem: Ocean 509A (1)
