Oil canvas dodger construction

Mike has started sewing up a permanent dodger for Milagra. I realized how much I’d missed the shade it provides as I worked in the August sun today to check the fit & set the snap locations.

Tension between fore & aft sleeves looks good after glueing on new shims for the strut mount.

New pin & sleeve slit cut for strap attachment point.

1/2 snaps on, other holes ready, awaiting the tailor’s consideration of final nips, seams, & tucks.

I like the way the color blends with mahogany and bamboo hues. A bonus is the smell of the canvas reminding Dad of car-camping as a kid.
