Note: Some of our Corbit references are confused, saying Daniel Corbit I married Mary Brinton in 1739, but it's clear (from the headstone in Odessa) that Mary married Daniel Corbit II (1715-1774).
Note: There seems to be a lot of confusion about Daniel's wife's (wives'?!) name(s): Hoedt is on the headstone, many online sources suggest Hood, Hoodt, Holt, or Noodt. And then there is the headstone's listing of a second name -- Elizabeth Widdow -- which is pretty close to widow...
Note: Ancestry.com in 2012 says of Elizabeth Noodt (1688 - 1728) Ancestry.com in 2012 says of Elizabeth Noodt (1688 - 1728) Born in New York City, New York, USA on 19 Oct 1688 to Casper Holt and Elizabeth De La Plaine. Elizabeth married Caleb Offley and had 4 children. Elizabeth married Daniel Corbit and had a child. She passed away on 1728 in Appoquinimink, New Castle, Delaware, USA. |
